Bulls & Bears (Stock Trading)

With the stock market Volatile, the whole time, it is a game of a lifetime you got to play to attain success. One move can either make your world or break your world. So do you think you got the upper hand in this situation, then come play a hand and check out your skills. Ndim brings before you Bulls and Bears, a battle of stock markets.

Structure
“Bulls and Bear- Mock Stock” consist of 2 stages.
Stage 1: Elimination Round
Stage 1 consists of a business quiz which is actually an elimination round. Business quiz will be nonverbal quiz in which MCQs will be given to the teams. In a Business quiz, questions would be asked regarding current affairs, Entrepreneurship, politics etc. and teams would be eliminated depending upon their score.
Stage 2: Buying and Selling Round
Now after the elimination round only 5 teams will enter Stage 2. Now Stage 2 is further divided into 3 levels:-
Level 1
You will be provided with a sheet which will be having buying and selling and other trading options on it. Teams will also be provided with 10-12 securities and they will have to buy and sell the share and will make a portfolio of that. A limited virtual amount would be provided to each team. In between different types of market news will be floated. In the end, sheets would be collected and analyzed using Microsoft excel.
Level 2
Now in this level same process will be carried out once again as carried in the Level 1. Another sheet would be provided in this level having exactly the same format and content as provided in Level 1. Again market news would be floated and teams would have to act upon the news i.e. teams would have to buy and sell according to the news. In the end, sheets would be collected and analyzed using excel.
Level 3
This will be the final step. In this level same process will be carried out once again as carried in the Level 1 & 2. Another sheet would be provided in this level having exactly the same format and content as provided in Level 1 & 2. Again market news would be floated and teams would have to act upon the news i.e. teams would have to buy and sell according to the news. In the end, sheets would be collected and analyzed using excel. After all the sheets are analyzed, Team with the maximum return on its investment will be the winner of “Bulls and Bear- Mock Stock”.

Rules and Regulations

1. Each team should have 2 members.
2. Business quiz will be of 30 minutes.
3. No reading from written material will be allowed in the business quiz.
4. The competition is all in English.
5. Cell phones are prohibited for the first stage.
6. All the levels in Stage 2 are of 30 minutes each.
7. Violation of above rules will lead to reduction of points.
8. Participants should bring their own calculators and laptops.
